Peterson Contractors, Inc. has been in the heavy and highway construction business since 1964 when founded by Cordell Peterson. He was later joined by Gale M. "Cork" Peterson, Jr., an engineering graduate of Iowa State and former Army Corps of Engineers Officer. The Company was incorporated under the laws of Iowa in 1966. PCI is located in Reinbeck, Iowa and is involved with projects throughout Iowa as well as many other States.
Construction services performed by PCI are heavy earthwork, site work, bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, demolition, raw and recycled material processing, and specialty construction services including intermediate and deep foundations, soil retention structures, micropiles, and soil stabilization. PCI is a certified installer for Geopier Foundation Company and Hubbell Chance Anchors and Foundations, with a presence in over 50% of the Continental United States. PCI is also engaged in other related activities such as heavy equipment rental, farming, and heavy hauling.
