The HarMac Event Space resides in the historic Harper & McIntire building in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed in 1922, the building was originally a warehouse and shipping facility for Harper & McIntire's industrial hardware. The company also procured their own line of hand-crafted tools, coined "HarMac" - thus, our shared name. In 2015, the property was purchased and restored to reflect its original industrial character and charm. In 2020, the second floor of the building was repurposed into a venue, by Travis Newell. No stranger to the event industry, Mr. Newell is also the owner of Unique Events, a respected event design and entertainment business. Highlights of the event space include the building's exposed brick walls, natural light, original metalwork, and stately pillars. The HarMac has been meticulously designed to showcase it's industrial roots and stunning proportions.
