Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is the exclusive provider of blood products and services to more than 115 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. The Blood Center relies on the generosity of volunteer blood donors and groups that host mobile blood drives to provide a critical, lifesaving resource for hospitals throughout its four-state service region. MVRBC is based in Davenport, Iowa, where its laboratory and primary distribution center handles more than 250,000 units of blood components each year. There are two donation centers located in Cedar Rapids at 4828 1st Avenue and 3001 Williams Blvd SW. Blood donation appointments can be made online or by phone. MVRBC is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
