DO NOT EAT HERE. I came here with a group of friends a couple months ago and I got food poisoning from the bacon cheeseburger. The patty was chewy and did not taste good. If you come here, be weary of the meat because obviously they don't prepare it correctly.

Ordered a delivery and it was outstanding. The ingredients tasted so fresh, not greasy nor loaded with cheese. Focus was on the spices and tender chicken. The homemade chips were hearty. I would highly recommend it!

I was really disappointed how unseriously this business is taking coronavirus. Staff were not wearing masks or any other sort of personal protective equipment. Tables are not spaced out for social distancing. It was like walking into a restaurant a year ago, which is nostalgic but also terrifying.

Food-wise, we tried to get burritos, enchiladas, empanadas, and margaritas. When we called in our order at 6pm on a Friday, they were out of desserts (okay, no problem). When we arrived, it turned out they couldn't sell us the margaritas because they were out of lids (also okay fine, although some expression of apology or warning when we ordered might have been nice).

Sadly, the food was also disappointing. The burrito didn't come with the promised red chile sauce, but moreover it, the enchiladas, and the beans and rice were just BLAND. We couldn't detect any meaningful spicing and tasted like what you'd get out of a can or frozen food.

I understand that everyone is struggling during COVID, and I try to be sympathetic to that, but honestly I would have given this meal two stars during normal times and am already rounding up to compensate for COVID difficulties...

When we entered the restaurant, my first thought was, "oh boy. There isn't anyone here. That is never a good sign." After our meal was finished, all I could think was that the people who weren't there had no idea what they were missing. This place was great!

Mexican food is something that, most places are only mediocre at. Your generic tacos, some boring fajitas, whatever burrito combination they thought up which ultimately is bland and flavorless. Not here. The fajitas were perfectly seasoned and more than could be finished in one sitting. The super burrito was just that, super tasty.

To end the meal, the empanadas were incredible. Throughout dinner, the service was attentive but not overbearing, as well.

I would have to say that this is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. Although, the parking certainly was not ideal. I can't imagine how difficult it would be if the restaurant was more than half full.

Absolutely wonderful! Not to far from the downtown district and this place offers everything you would want from a hometown diner. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, clean with good options for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed a couple of margaritas on the rocks with chips and salsa and then we ordered the shrimp and fish tacos with sides of rice, beans, potatoes and veggies. I also got a side of fries just cause I herd they were really good and they were! The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. Five stars for Lucitas, we will definitely be back! Keep up the good work!

We've been here twice and had amazing food both times. I always get the chile rellanos which are the best in town and I've been to most of the Mexican restaurants in Cedar Rapids.
They also have a large American menu so can accommodate most tastes. Their fries are crispy and beautifully seasoned. I came with 6 other people and not one person had a complaint about the food... That is a first. The taco shells are made not cardboard store bought. The meat in the tacos is top notch (most are bland). So If you are coming for American or Mexican or both this is the spot.

Friendly staff - Brandy was so nice and helpful, explaining that the relleno is spicier than most would expect. Excellent food. Good portions. I would recommend it. The husband prefers Chile rellenos with Pablano pepper and this was a banana pepper but said the tamale was excellent. My fajitas were very good. The kids loved the super burrito. Wished their kids menu had more than just a taco and enchilada as Mexican fare for kids. 2/5 liked the salsa but others felt too tomatoey and too much cumin and not enough onion. Place is definitely worth a try.

Cute & very cozy little Mexican bar and restaurant! Tasty and good priced lunch specials. I don't know why it's isolated downtown, but it's a cool place to hangout and eat/ drink. Unique deserts.

Nice little place serving up a variety of dishes. I was hesitant to try a place that serves Mexican food along side american staples but was pleasantly surprised. The cost for the items was reasonable and the service was the best we've received from a restaurant in a very long time. Overall we were pleased and will be back again to try more items from the menu.
