Join us for one of the largest and most popular open-air markets in the Midwest! Rated as "Best in Class" by the American Farmland Trust and frequently cited as a must-attend activity in the summer, the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market, presented by Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, features nearly 200 vendors selling anything from seasonal vegetables to specialty food items and more. All items sold at the market are created, produced, grown or transformed by the person making them and in the state of Iowa.

The 2023 season will feature entertainment, activities and community group presentations during each Saturday event, as well as special activities hosted by sponsors on various days throughout the season.

Join Jen Neumann, CEO of de Novo Marketing, for an interactive session on telling your or your company’s story in a compelling way. Whether it’s a big pitch or just an informational session, storytelling is how you connect with your audience, and a slide deck is just a way to reinforce the narrative visually. Participants are invited to workshop their presentation (challenge by choice) together and gain insights from Jen and other participants.

Jen Neumann is the CEO of de Novo Marketing - a full service creative marketing firm located in the NewBo District in Cedar Rapids, founded in 2007. Active in many volunteer and civic activities, Jen chairs the board of the Iowa Women’s Foundation, is a board member on Women Lead Change, and is past president of the Cedar Rapids School District Foundation Board of Trustees. She has served as President and Sustainer president for Junior League of Cedar Rapids and is currently involved in her daughters’ extracurricular activities. She was elected to the Cedar Rapids School Board in 2019.

IgniteICR series returns this summer for its 5th year! Ignite ICR is a program for college students and interns working in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids (ICR) region. This summer event series gives students the opportunity to meet one another, explore our incredible culture, connect with young professionals, and imagine a future for themselves in ICR. Ignite ICR is hosted by the Economic Alliance, Iowa City Area Development Group and MEDCO.

For our send off event, we are taking a new approach and will be hosting a community dinner in Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Iowa City. Interns will get to select which location they want to attend - attendance will be limited and registration is required! Dinner will be provided and interns will have the opportunity to extend their festivities with events happening in each community. It will be a celebration students won't want to miss out on!

Cedar Rapids will be hosting a dinner at Peppercorn at the Bank. Students will enjoy dining in the historical Peoples Savings Bank building built in 1911. Food will be a set menu served family-style allowing for great conversations. Please register below for this event.

This one-mile walk will start and end at the Woman & Children’s Pavilion of UnityPoint Health and stroll through the picturesque campus of Coe College. All proceeds will benefit children and families who stay in the Ronald McDonald Family Room of UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Hospital to keep families close when they need it the most. Join us again for Bubbles of fun! From Bubble Art and Human Bubbles to a Bubble Tunnel and Giant Bubbles – We cover all things bubbles!
