What an event! FANTASTIC turnout at last week's ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of Centennial Park in the City of Hartford, WI! MSA developed the park master plan for this exciting project, as well as contributed to funding, design, and construction administration efforts. We are thrilled to see it all come together and be enjoyed by so many. Congratulations to the community and to everyone who pulled together to make this happen!

What compelled Graduate Engineer Ethan Capogreco to join the MSA Employee-Ownership Committee? To better understand the #ESOP business model and the way employee ownership informs our culture —something he views as a major selling point of the company. We couldn't agree more, Ethan! MSA is thrilled to receive an Honor Award for our Vilas Park Master Plan from the Wisconsin Chapter ASLA! This park is a beloved and historic centerpiece of the City of Madison, WI, first designed in 1905 by renowned Landscape Architect O.C. Simonds. We're proud to be a part of protecting the Vilas Park legacy while planning for a sustainable and revitalized future. Thank you!
The final category is Analysis and Planning, and the Vilas Park Master Plan by MSA Professional Services was given the Honor Award! The Vilas Park Master Plan aims to balance design best practices, community input, and the needs of an expanding park system. Landscape architects played a central role, managing the project and conducting in-depth site analysis, including inventorying over 500 trees. The plan prioritizes traditional uses, inclusionary principles, and addressing current needs for this regional destination, which includes the Henry Vilas Zoo. Excited to see a record-breaking number of folks attending next week's National Outdoor Recreation Conference in South Lake Tahoe! MSA's Dan Williams has an excellent presentation about the preservation of cultural and archaeological resources in park planning efforts. It features the ancestral landscape surrounding the City of Madison, Wisconsin, and the evolution of a relationship with the Ho-Chunk Tribal Nation to protect effigy mounds and honor culturally significant places. Thanks to the Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals for organizing another great #NORC!

Instead of #MayDay Baskets, how about 80,000+ bags of oatmeal packaged and sent to children in need around the world? Thanks to families from MSA Baraboo, the Baraboo High School Interact Club, and participating community members for gathering last night to assemble a substantial number of meals as part of the greater Food for Kidz program. Events like this are making a huge difference, one mobile food packing event at a time!
