I purchased the 30″ DOUBLE ELECTRIC WALL OVEN WITH FRENCH & DROP DOWN DOORS for a new condo. My wife likes the french doors for access. The overall mechanical build of the unit seems solid - I think the unit weighs approx 600 pounds. The doors function well as do the slide out racks. The unit also looks good - no complaints with the aesthetic.
However, three years after the original install, we are still having serious issues with the oven. The first issue we had was that the control screen faulted and only showed zig-zag lines - totally inoperable. Bluestar sent a local technician to replace the control board. The same problem developed shortly thereafter - this is when they decided to change the entire oven - not an easy task. Shortly after we installed the new oven, the unit started faulting again. Bluestar sent a completely new control board (with relays) and a new front panel control. The oven ran OK for a while and then more issues. The local tech returned and installed a new control board - Bluestar realized that there was an issue with the supplier of their original control boards and so switched to a new supplier. I think we might have received the first or second control board from the new supplier. Now the oven is still not functioning - three main issues:
1. Lower oven taking 70 minutes to come to 500 deg F - upper oven only takes 30 min - I think the 30 min is the Bluestar specification and similar to other ovens.
2. The oven fan will cycle on unexpectedly for maybe 15 seconds - at random times. It could happen at 11:00am and the oven was not used in the morning or the previous evening - totally spontaneous.
3. If we cook something at 375 deg F and then reset the temp set point to 350 deg, there is no indication that the oven is cooling to the new setpoint ( you can not watch the actual temp go to the new setpoint like you can when you first turn on the oven) and it seems that the oven is actually no longer heating but will just cool down and then shut off. I am thinking that the only way to go to the new setpoint might be to turn the oven off, wait for actual temp to go below new 350 deg setpoint and then restart the oven and set temp to 350 deg F - not fun.
The local technician was here today (again) - it took 3 weeks for them to get to us. Bluestar tech service told our local tech that they needed to send a new control board with panel - again! Bluestar could have easily sent the new control board based on my description of the issue. So now we may need to wait another three weeks.
Given our experience with Bluestar, I would recommend against buying their products. I will update this post as things unfold.

Got the RNB36 range just over e year ago. I am still in awe. Just amazing in every possible way. Amazing cooking and baking. It is a bit of pain to clean. Sure, it is easier than other professional ranges since you can remove the grates to wash them and there is a drip tray for messes but still not as easy as spraying cleaner and wiping. Anyway, no big deal for such an excellent tool.

DO NOT BUY. This beautiful looking range has been nothing but trouble. After pouring over $2,000 in repairs we are finally abandoning this 5 year old stove. The list of troubles is endless. Knobs so hot they have melted, gas leaks in the top that could not be found until entire gas pipe replaced, convection oven fan failure due to falling loose screws , insulation cooked off under the oven and caused oven wiring thermostat to ignitor to melt and short out , so no oven or broiler. Explosions of gas pouring out of the knobs and melting wires, gas valve failures. Two different service people unable to get help from BlueStar. We have been six months with no range and endless repair people who thought they had finally fixed it when gas started to flare and flame from the knobs melting the electrics and causing burn marks to the stainless steel top and the smell of electrical fire permeates the kitchen. This range is a disaster.

I had multiple quality issues with bluestar and I cannot recommend their ranges, especially at the price point they offer. Although the stove is fantastic when it's finally working well, the oven is not - and the quality issues + customer service and limited 2 year warranty make it not worth it, pick another brand.

I was super excited to purchase this high-end stove, but our experience has disappointed me. In every direction or phone call make to ABT or BlueStar, a finger is pointing for the other person to resolve the issues, or this is not enough evidence to support a replacement. Meanwhile, whenever a part needs to be fixed for my $12,000 stove, I am left with something unusable or, in my most recent case..an unusable stove. Please see our timeline of what has occurred in the past 12 months:
Order Numer 0507101ULTRC
Bluestar FRST 48’’ SS Gas Conv 6 Bur
5/7/21-Purchased Bluestar
8/23/21-Stove Delivered
4/14/22- Called ABT to discuss concerns
4/26/22 ABT Came to the house to service i
4/27/22-Called with ignitor concern and gas smell (would not immediately light, and clicking noise would not turn off after it would light.)
5/11/22-Called regarding gas smell and still with ignitor problems
5/26/22-ABT came to the house to service -
*Note gas has now been leaking for one month
700.00 gas bill
8/22-Called ABT that it still smelled gas, the griddle was not lighting, and NOW a burner was not igniting.
9/6/22-ABT came to the house to service
*Note gas has been leaking since 5/26/22, and they did not have the correct parts to fix the griddle invoice
Another $500 gas bill
10/14/22- ABT service call to fix problems they were unable to fix (had to order parts) Not able to use the stove for a family of five
10/31/22- Still unable to use the stove
The service manager at ABT is aware and continues to tell me there are discrepancies with ABT's reports, and we need more evidence to support the need for replacement. I will keep you posted on how this all turns out..I do promise that. Nobody should spend this kind of money to have the number of problems we have had. I will continue to turn to social media regarding my experiences. Clearly,
BlueStar is not listening and working families should not be spending money for a product with these kinds of issues.

I'm sadly putting the word out to beware of this brand. We renovated our home and I did tons of research to choose our stove and refrigerator brand. I rejected all of the typical high-end brands and went with Blue Star. What a mistake. While I absolutely love the design, the customer service is like nothing I have seen before. It is virtually non-existent. The ice-maker in our refrigerator broke the 1st time a few months into use (on Memorial Day, as we entered summer 2021) and now it is broken again for the month of August.
I have waited for hours on the customer service line to no avail. I have emailed three times (they tell me that they are more than a week behind on emails so they will get to me soon - no lie!), and they also tell me that it will be at least another month to maybe get the part. When I tell you that the customer service tone, availability and responsiveness is incredibly disappointing and infuriating, I am truly not exaggerating. I still have no idea what is happening with our service request since they still are behind on the emails and I can't take another hour on hold to speak to an operator. Please beware, despite the beautiful looking products.

Horrendous range. I’m on my 3rd service call. Customer service is terrible as well. Reached out to them and no response. Would NOT recommend. This is not even a year old.
Look elsewhere!!

Update on previous. Service tech, 2nd call. Replaced front control panel. Now everything burns, can’t touch handles because they are so hot. Controls are switched so top control controls bottom oven and vice versa. Take a look at cookies…burned in 9 mins at 325 degrees. At what point do I deserve a refund? Over $8,000, throwing food out, can’t cook for my kids.

We apologize about the issue you're experiencing and reached out to the service team to see what could be done. They provided the following message - We are working with the servicer, dealer and our sales team to get the appliance working for you. The issue with the cookies is being addressed by the servicer who has agreed to come back to resolve the issue due to the installation switch issue.

Our Bluestar 24" gas range oven stopped working a few months after installation. After many phone calls and 5 service calls, over 12 months, they agreed to replace it, that was on 3/25/2022, they said it would ship 6/1/2022. Just called today and found out it was delivered to the Albert Lee Appliance store on May 10th, for delivery & installation. No one ever contacted us! We have been with out a working oven for 15 months and this is really unacceptable. Bluestar needs to improve.their product and customer service.

The BlueStar double wall oven is the best kitchen appliance I have ever owned. We have had it for a few months now and I’ve done a lot of cooking with it. From roasts to standard baking it really performs. The two things that make it so great are the cooking stone, the kids love pizza night now, and the accessibility of the French doors for large or heavier items. The stove holds heat really well, it provides a very consistent and even cook. Very impressed so far.

Please do yourself a favor and don't buy BlueStar. I've had my stove for two years and have already had to replace three burners (one of them twice) and the oven ignition, twice. Did I mention separate gas leaks? Customer service is terrible, they refuse to replace my stove although I so clearly got a lemon. I even contacted the company president Eliza Sheffield who couldn't be bothered to respond. I will never buy again and never recommend to anyone. Avoid.
