The Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend its 92nd Annual Meeting, September 14th.
The Annual Meeting is one of The Chamber's most popular events providing you with an overview of activities and accomplishments made throughout the year. Keynote Speaker: Stephen Jordan
Stephen Jordan runs the Business Civic Leadership Center of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which has been called "the coordination hub for corporate disaster response" by the Public Affairs Council, and the private sector's alternative to FEMA by the Wall Street Journal. Jordan and his team of leading national experts have been at the forefront of promoting public-private partnerships for sustainable development, community resilience, and disaster recovery. He has stories to share stemming from his
experiences assisting with recovery efforts in Haiti, the Gulf Coast, southern California, and 9/11.
Perhaps even more importantly, he can provide insight into the opportunities and challenges that will affect the future community and economic development of Eastern Iowa and the U.S. We are facing dramatic changes due to technology, globalization, and other factors, and we are very pleased to have Stephen Jordan join us and share his experiences on the front lines of community and economic development.
Special Guest: Jeff Pomeranz, Incoming Cedar Rapids City Manager will be making a few remarks at the annual meeting luncheon.
