Event Description: On January 16, the public is welcomed to celebrate MLK Day at Mount Mercy University with guest speaker Dr. Zachary Williams who will be speaking on the importance of human civil rights. Dr. Williams is currently an associate professor of African American History at the University of Akron, coordinator of the Institute of the Black World 21st Century Research Consortium and co-founder of Africana Cultures and Policy Studies Institute. Reception scheduled to follow. This event will be held in The Chapel of Mercy at 7 p.m.
