Event Description: Participants will learn about the history and role of fire in the prairie, how to set goals and develop burn plans, safe techniques for prescribed fires, fire equipment, and how to conduct a burn. Wear old, natural fiber clothing; bring leather gloves, a water bottle, and a sack lunch. Register by 4 PM on Friday, October 14. M $15; NM $20
