One of the bard's most beloved comedies, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" conjures a unique world that draws inspiration from such diverse sources as ancient Greek history, Ovid's Metamorphosis, and English folk legends. Theseus, Duke of Athens, is making plans for his marriage to the queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta, whom he has conquered in battle. During the course of one overnight, a wondrously hilarious sequence of events ensues, playing out in tandem with a colossal quarrel between Oberon and Titania, the king and queen of the fairies.
Featuring an all-student cast, the production is directed by Coe Professor of Theatre Arts Steven Marc Weiss.
