Event Description: The Iowa Clay Conference comes to Coe College for the opening art exhibits of the 2015-16 academic year. A closing reception will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 6-8 p.m. in the Sinclair Auditorium lobby. The exhibits are sponsored by the Ceramics Center in Cedar Rapids in conjunction with the bi-annual Iowa Clay Conference. The Presenters Exhibition features works by three conference presenters: Gerit Grimm, Linda Christianson and Joe Pintz. In addition, the River2River exhibition is a show juried by Bede Clarke, professor of art at the University of Missouri. This exhibition features over 60 works by more than 30 artists. This exhibit and reception is free and open to the public.
