Event Description: Join The Salvation Army as they kick off their Red Kettle Campaign on Thursday, November 12th at 7:00pm at the Marriott on Collins Road. Denny Frary, a former local media personality, will be the guest speaker for the evening. As someone who spent years serving on the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army in Cedar Rapids, Denny has a great passion for making a difference in our community. Scott Sanborn, who currently serves on the Advisory Board, will be emceeing the event. The event will have Christmas cookies, good food, carolers, a photo booth and everything you need to get in the Christmas spirit. There will also be a door prize for all attendees where they could win an overnight stay for two at the Marriott with breakfast in the Cedar Grille Restaurant donated by the Marriott. Tickets are $50 and on sale today.
