Event Description: The Iowa Clay Conference comes to Coe College for the opening art exhibits of the 2015-16 academic year. The exhibits open on Saturday, Sept. 12 and run through Saturday, Oct. 3 in the Marvin Cone and Eaton-Buchan Galleries in Sinclair Auditorium, with gallery hours of 4-6 p.m. daily. A closing reception will be held on Saturday, October 3, from 6-8 p.m. Both the exhibits and the reception are free and open to the public. The exhibits are sponsored by the Ceramics Center in Cedar Rapids in conjunction with the bi-annual Iowa Clay Conference. The Presenters Exhibition features works by three conference presenters: Gerit Grimm, Linda Christianson and Joe Pintz. In addition, the River2River exhibition is a show juried by Bede Clarke, professor of art at the University of Missouri. This exhibition features over 60 works by more than 30 artists.
