Event Description: Mount Mercy University will host Audrey Boone Tillman, executive vice president and general counsel for Aflac Inc., for “Life Beyond the Diploma: Stepping out of Your Comfort Zone” on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the University Center as part of the Barbara Knapp Speaker Series. According to aflac.com, “Tillman was selected by The Network Journal as one of their 25 Influential Black Women in Business awardees for 2013. She has been named one of the Top 100 Blacks in Corporate America by Black Professionals magazine for two consecutive years. She also received the Office Depot Visionary Award, which recognizes her dedication, leadership ability, and commitment to achieve business success, shape the direction of her community and to help improve the lives of women.” The event is free and open to the public.
