Event Description: Join Mount Mercy University community leaders for “Police Use of Force,” a panel discussion aimed to further understanding of the policies and procedures on use of force in our community. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7p.m.in Betty Cherry Heritage Hall on Mount Mercy’s main campus. Community leaders sitting on the panel include: Beth Malicki, moderator & KCRG Evening News Anchor; Wayne Jerman, Cedar Rapids Chief of Police; Brian Gardner, Linn County Sheriff; Jerry Vander Sanden, Linn County Attorney. This event is open to the public, but space is limited. Join us before the panel discussion for a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Information Session at 5:30p.m. in Flaherty Community Room, Basile Hall, Main Campus.
