Event Description: Mount Mercy faculty members David Klope and Joe Sheller will discuss the role of public relations in WWI on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 3:30 p.m. in Mount Mercy’s Flaherty Community Room. The duo will explore how the German government used propaganda to evoke emotions and responses from civilians, as well as how the government used censorship to manipulate the public during the war. This event is part of Mount Mercy’s WWI remembrance and reflection series that will continue through mid-November.
