Event Description: Join author Kerry Weber on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. in Mount Mercy’s Chapel of Mercy as she draws upon her new book “Mercy in the City: How to Feed the Hungry, Give Drink to the Thirst, Visit the Imprisoned, and Keep Your Day Job” to offer her thoughts on how she tries to balance breadlines and deadlines, and describe how she finds a moment’s rest in the city that never sleeps. Weber is America’s managing editor and has worked as an associate editor for Catholic Digest, a staff reporter for The Greenwich Post and The Catholic Observer, and a producer and reporter for the television news magazine Real to Reel. She is also an alumna of the Mercy Volunteer Corps, through which she served as a special-education teacher in St. Michaels, Ariz., on the Navajo Nation. Space is limited and RSVP is required.
