Event Description: Spend the night in good company learning about constellations, stars, planets, and watching for satellites and shooting stars! Clear skies will allow us to search for hidden gems above. Binoculars and telescopes will be available, but feel free to bring your own, along with a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Attendees will be eligible to enter to win a brand new pair of Alpen Shasta Ridge binoculars. If cloudy, we’ll go on a night hike. The Perseid meteor shower occurs from August 12-16th. During the peak (Aug. 12-13) this shower can produce up to 60 meteors an hour. Register online at www.indiancreeknaturecenter.org or call 319-362-0664. COST: M $5; NM $6; children $2.
