Event Description: Slow Art Day is the global event with a simple mission: help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. You are invited to come to the Museum in the morning and slowly look at five pieces of art. A list of pieces will be available at the front desk. Participants are encouraged to take ten minutes (or more) to observe and think about each of these pieces. You may take notes or sketches, if you like, using pencil and paper. Challenge yourself to immerse in a deep and meaningful experience with the art. At 12:00 p.m., join us across the street at the Cedar Rapids Library's Unconference Room for a discussion of these pieces and your experiences.
