Event Description: Dr. Jen Lee, assistant professor of psychology at Mount Mercy University, will present a paper entitled “Why Do I Hurt So Much? The Psychology of Pain” on Monday, November 4 at 5 p.m. in Flaherty Community Room located in Basile Hall at Mount Mercy University. Dr. Lee will present her body of research examining how psychological factors affect pain and dysfunction in people diagnosed with fibromyalgia and cancer, and in healthy adults using experimental pain. She will lead an open, interactive discussion on this complex association between our personality, psychological characteristics and pain. This event is free and open to the public. Limited space available. Mount Mercy University is located at 1330 Elmhurst Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
