Event Description: Join Phil Morris in The Restless Spirit exhibition as he discusses the McKenney and Hall Native American prints on view. These 19th century prints, donated by Morris, are part of a seminal set of images overseen by Thomas McKenney, Superintendent of the War Department under four American presidents, and writer James Hall. These portrait prints of Native Americans were based on paintings created by Charles Bird King during peace treaty negotiations and then made into lithographs by Edward C. Biddle between 1836 and 1844.
