Event Description: There's something for everyone at the Grand Opening of the Second Chance Thrift Store! Stop by between 10am and 6pm this Saturday, June 16, for a sidewalk sale blowout! Clothing, household items, décor, furniture, books, CDs, small appliances...you'll get great deals on all this and so much more! Barb Jacobs will be drawing black and white caricatures of your favorite pets--and people, too!--so bring your pet (or a photo of your pet) and let her work her magic. Caricatures cost only $10! (One caricature per sitting, please.) Sparkles the Clown and Fun Factory Face Painting will provide entertainment for the kiddies. We'll also have a special appearance by the Cedar Rapids Police Department's K-9 Unit. Bring your dog for a bath and nail trim by Puppy Love Mobile Pet Spa. Baths are $30, and nail trims are only $5. Anamosa Veterinary Clinic will be on hand to update your pets' shots and microchip your furry friend for a reduced rate. You'll find the party goin' on behind Coe College, at 617 Center Point Road NE.
