Come meet Phil and Amy!
According to Phil and Amy Parham, stars of season six of “The Biggest Loser,” stress and pain over their son’s struggle with autism helped make them fat as they turned to food for comfort.
Life changed dramatically for the overweight couple when they were selected to compete on the weight loss reality show. As a result, they lost a combined total of 256 pounds. Through an interesting twist, being on the show also helped them find hope and help for their autistic son, Rhett, at LearningRx. LearningRx Cedar Rapids has invited Phil and Amy to speak at a Community Wide Autism Resources Forum being held at Four Oaks (The Bridge Location) 2100 1st Ave NE Cedar Rapids IA 52402.
In addition, we’ve invited a number of local autism care and resource providers to join us that evening. You’ll not only get to hear Phil and Amy’s inspiring story, you’ll also learn about many local and national resources available to individuals and families impacted by autism and other learning challenges.
If you have autism, know someone with autism, or are an educator, doctor or other professional serving the autism community, you won’t want to miss this informative and inspirational event!
