Event Description: Mount Mercy University welcomes vocalists Katharine Goeldner and Chris Carr during a special performance titled “A Path to the Future: Music of Discovery,” on Sunday, April 29, at 3:30 p.m. in the University Center Commons. The performance is free and open to the public; seating may be limited. Pianist and Mount Mercy music faculty member Tony Nickle will accompany Goeldner and Carr for the performance, which will include works Gustav Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer and Rückert Lieder, and arias by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Korngold, Barber, and more. Audience members will enjoy this beautiful and lyrical performance as two Iowa natives return to participate in the first musical performance held in Mount Mercy’s new University Center.
