Event Description: In many organizations, employees feel like there is a managerial ladder and a technical stump in terms of career development. So naturally, the majority of employees opt for the managerial track. However, in many cases, they make this decision without fully understanding what it takes to be a successful manager and leader in an organization. And unfortunately, many organizations take a sink or swim approach to management development. Therefore, your best chance of survival is to educate and develop yourself so that you can make that swim across the channel. This 4-hour workshop offers participants: -An opportunity for self-exploration and reflection regarding their personal skill set -An understanding of the skills and competencies needed to be a successful manager/leader -A glimpse in to the realities of management responsibilities
