Event Description: Cedar Rapids, Iowa – October 20, 2011 – Professional Women’s Network will host their 5th annual PWN Marketplace event on Thursday, October 20th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Kirkwood Training & Outreach Center (KTOS) in Marion, Iowa. The event will host 20+ business exhibitors, catered food, and prize drawings every 15 minutes. The PWN Marketplace is a free community event and is open to the public. Exhibitors will showcase their businesses in tradeshow fashion. There will be a variety of businesses ranging from interior design, computer training, holistic wellness, health related distributors, cosmetics and skin care, clothing and jewelry lines, and more. PWN was formed in 1979 by three local business women. Professional Women’s Network, Inc. is a professional organization of 100+ dynamic business and professional women in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area. The purpose of PWN is, “To promote and enhance the status and influence of women” and PWN’s motto is “Strengthening Professions, Developing Networks, Exchanging Knowledge.” The organization provides women with opportunities for personal and professional development. PWN membership provides numerous opportunities for networking, education, and leadership training throughout the year. The organization also has a scholarship foundation which awards annual scholarships for local non-traditional students continuing their educational goals.
