If your business doesn’t have a website, you’re invisible in one of the key places where you could get more customers -- online. If you’re one of those businesses – or are interested in starting your own online business -- plan on attending the upcoming Iowa Get Your Business Online Event on October 29th.
A state-wide initiative, the Google Sponsored Iowa Get Your Business Online (www.IowaGetOnline.com) event is an easy, free and fast way for local businesses to get online. Google and its partners are offering Iowa small businesses the opportunity to create their own professionally designed website at no cost.
The Cedar Rapids’ Iowa Get Your Business Online event will be hosted by Mind Your Small Business owner, Sherry Bonelli. At the session Bonelli will show small business owners how to register a domain name and create their own website. Additionally, she will provide tips for getting websites found on Google and will explore other Internet and mobile marketing strategies.
The event will be held Saturday, October 29th, 9:00-11:30 a.m. at Kirkwood Training & Outreach Services, 3375 Armar Drive, Room 133, Marion, Iowa 52302. Space is limited. Participants are asked to bring a laptop or notebook computer with wireless access. If they don’t have access to a laptop, they are still welcome to attend because they will walk through the entire process and will take home the complete step-by-step instructions so they can set up their website at home. To register for the event, join the Mind Your Small Business Meetup group by visiting www.meetup.com/mind-your-small-business and RSVP for the session or e-mail Sherry Bonelli at sherry@mindyoursmallbusiness.com with your contact information.
