Event Description: This collaborative educational tour by the National Czech and Slovak Museum & Library (NCSML) and Indian Creek Nature Center (ICNC) focuses on flooding; flood mitigation and watershed improvement; disaster preparedness; and environmentally-sensitive flood recovery in urban and rural areas. Learn about preventing runoff on urban properties, hardening structures against flood damage, and planning for disasters. Find sources for restoring and conserving damaged properties. The tour begins at the Nature Center and ends at the NCSML for a gallery tour and Czech Village walking tour. Advance registration is required at 362-0664. Member: $8; Non-member: $12.
