Event Description:
FARO Laser is a high-tech laser which scans a room, a building, or a processing plant and the surrounding area and sends the images to a computer which then instantaneously creates a 3D image! This technology allows manufacturing plants the ability to dramatically decrease the time it takes to create a working model of their building. It allows them to find flaws and quickly correct them, improving efficiency and productivity.
Our Program Advisory Committee (or PAC) members will be here to represent employers and organizations from the local community. The PAC currently includes Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity, Design Engineers, Ledford Engineering, Weitz Industrial, Modern Piping, Kinze, and more. This will provide great opportunity for employers and future graduates to learn about the benefits of new technology in the field of drafting and design.
