Event Description: Many moths have mundane colors, but not Underwings! Bring your flashlight and join our mothing crew to explore the nighttime woods and look for beautiful Catocala moths. This colorful midsummer genus is is attracted to bait placed on woodland trees. Learn to mix your own bait and enjoy a nighttime adventure in the woods. We'll finish our evening checking a light trap to discover other nighttime insects. Fee is $3 for ICNC members ($7 for member families); $5 for non-members ($12 for non-member families). Register by calling 362-0664 or register online through our website.


Directions:
The Indian Creek Nature Center is located at the intersection of Otis and Bertram Roads SE in Cedar Rapids. Bertram Road may be accessed from either Mt Vernon Road SE or Highway 13. Watch for the brown Indian Creek Nature Center signs.
