Event Description: Explore the Nature Center's wetlands and learn about the rich diversity of aquatic invertebrates found near and in the water. Watch a short presentation on aquatic insects then hike through beautiful, wet, shady areas and learn how to find and capture these creatures yourself. Wear boots and bring sunscreen. Open to all adults and children 8 years old and up. Fee: $5/member; $8/non-member. Advance registration strongly recommended. Directions:
The Indian Creek Nature Center is located at the intersection of Otis and Bertram Roads SE in Cedar Rapids. Bertram Road may be accessed from either Mt Vernon Road SE or Highway 13. Watch for the brown Indian Creek Nature Center signs.
