Sacred Cow Tavern

I had the GYRO SANDWICH and my wife had the GYRO CAESAR and both were great. Portions were good size. Fries were like a curly fry but thicker. Service was prompt and friendly. We were there at happy hour so the noise level kept getting louder and louder. So I recommend going before happy hour if you don't plan on drinking. All in all it's a do again.

Saturday night and it was loud, over 90 decibels.
Friendly server and good food.
I only wish they used a quality roll for their burgers instead of a bland mass produced bun.
Tasty burger and the fries were plentiful.
Nice to see they have a large outdoor seating area for the warmer weather.

Me and my girlfriend went here and had an absolutely amazing experience, I ordered the poutine burger and she had the gyro sandwich and both were absolutely wonderful. Our favorite part of the meal were the sidewinder fries which were season with a Cajun seasoning. We showed up, accidentally, for happy meals hour (everyday 3-6) and got our Helles beer and blueberry cider two for one! The second drink came in a small bucket with ice which was so fun! Would recommend to anyone and everyone who enjoys some good fries and burgers.

Stopped in with my boyfriend to have a drink at the Sacred Cow Tavern. It was my first time in his second--staff was super friendly even though we just had a drink. Will definitely be back because of how nice the staff was. Also a really nice atmosphere with the decor and lights.

Went to Sacred Cow for my birthday. Always a good choice. Food is excellent. Drinks on point and service is great! We love the setting and the feel
of the place. So glad to have this addition to Cedar Rapids foodie choices!!

The ambiance was kitschy and fun, staff friendly and kind, we had a couple of cocktails and they were very creatively concocted and just plain delicious! We didn't have a meal but we did order the spinach and artichoke dip and it was very good. Will be back for drinks again for sure and maybe check out more menu items. Menu is vegan/vegetarian friendly.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. The food is outstanding. Loved the dill pickle soup and burgers.

This cute little place is tucked behind NewBo in an unassuming neighborhood. I met a friend for lunch on a weekday and the place filled up quickly, but the servers were friendly and the food came out fast. The spin dip is delicious; warm and gooey with hot pita chips and pretzels for dipping. I got the fish and chips; the fish was big pieces, perfectly salted, and cooked well. Lots of yummy fries came with the order and the little dish of homemade pickles was amazing! My friend got the BLT and chips and said she'd order it again. What a neat little place! Look for the upside down lamps hanging from the ceiling.

Good food and a cool vibe. It's got a decent sized menu with some of the usual as well and some not so usual.

Some of the best food in town. We love the pickle fries, burgers, wings.. Great staff!
