Two projects designed by Neumann Monson have been recognized with an AIA Iowa Impact Award. The awards were announced at this year’s virtual AIA Iowa Spring Conference on April 5th. · Stanley Center for Peace and Security – Honor Award · Johnson County GuideLink Center – Merit Award The Impact Awards showcase the great impact that AIA Iowa members are having on their communities through architecture. This award was created in 2019 to recognize team members including architects, designers, and other collaborators for an architectural project specifically designed to directly benefit social, humanitarian, community, or environmental issues. This recognition wouldn't have been possible without the vision of our clients and partners. Congratulations to everyone involved!

The AIA 2030 Commitment calls on architects to reach net zero emissions by 2030 by incrementally reducing Energy Use Intensity and increasing on-site renewable energy generation. To date, nearly 1,300 firms have participated in the program—Neumann Monson being one of them. In Fall 2024, the Pella Early Learning Center is set to open its doors to students. The project is the district’s first purpose-built preschool facility and uses light and color to encourage play—young students’ primary way of learning.
