SCORE is a national group of business leaders comprised of 13,000 volunteer mentors throughout America. SCORE East Central Iowa is one of 360 chapters in urban, suburban and rural communities. It is ranked amongst the top groups in the nation. SCORE members are trained to serve as coaches, consultants, counselors, advisors, and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and to business owners.

SCORE services are offered at no fee as a community service. SCORE was formed in 1964. 9 million Americans have used its services. (14,000 in East Central Iowa since 1966.) SCORE helps create nearly 40,000 new American businesses a year.
